Conference on Penalizing Nuclear Smugglers in United Kingdom

From October 22-25, the Institute's co-sponsored Project on Nonproliferation Policy and Law conducted a conference at Wilton Park in the United Kingdom on new approaches for penalizing nuclear trafficking. Dozens of representatives from the United States and EU-Nations met to discuss improving criminal prosecution attempts and using civil litigation/sanctions to punish those who illicitly spread nuclear weapons technology and materials to states and non-state actors of proliferation concern.
